Layout's much better, articles are pretty good, except for the fact that it took an era for some of the staff to submit their assignments. Damn. Guess what kind of activity it was? Watching the Ateneo-La Salle game in Araneta Coliseum! Hahaha... I was there too. It was really fun! I even saw old friends from Notre Dame of Greater Manila who're now studying in DLSU-Manila. Anyway, La Salle defeated Ateneo 78-60. A very one-sided match, I must say.
I was just wondering why one of Ateneo's slogans or something is "Win or lose it's the school we choose." I feel like it has a negative connotation to it. Are Ateneans anticipating defeat or something? No matter, that is just how I see it.
Oh I saw Louieji after the game too. I felt bad because I was supposed to buy an extra ticket for his brother but it slipped off my mind wasn't able to. Unfortunately, I'm assigned to a computer with an obvious defect. I can't save my project!! Tell me, what is the using of doing a project but in the end you can't save it? Bad luck. That's why I decided to update my blog. Yes, during class.

Yesterday I was at La Salle Greenhills for a seminar regarding DLSU's stand on the Gloriagate scandal. However, I find it ironic and futile since the Lasallian Brothers have already released a statement in the Philippine Daily Inquirer. I mean, what if some of us disagreed on certain points in the statement? I guess the problem lies in the fact that they already have a decision even before considering the entire community's reactions and suggestions. Sigh life's like that. Also, I missed the Broadcast Journalism General Assembly yesterday. Darn, I would've preferred attending the GA. Sounded like everybody had fun.

I bought a pair of leather shoes. No, it's nothing fancy, I just needed a new pair to sustain in the last months of my stay in DLSU-D. My feet are killing me! feel like I have blisters on my feet. And the walk from JFH to the HF Office isn't a dainty walk in the park, even though (according to Viva's friend) DLSU-D looks and feels like a theme park.

Moving on, Heraldo Filipino still does not have an adviser. Maycee and I suspect a conspiracy theory. Or maybe we're just paranoids. Well, if you're in HF I expect that your mind works in an eccentric fashion.

Existentialism

How can I go on life without ever facing relentless hardships nipping at my toes? I don't know, it just happens naturally. I've let so many things pass by without even posting on my blog. But whatever, it's not as if my life is going to end.

It's exactly 11 days after I turned 20. God, I can't believe I'm only a year away from becoming a dessicated adult (as stated by Viva). By the way, I bought a new phone, a Motorola E398. Really like it since I can use it as my music player. I've been uploading mp3s every other day. Though I still have to buy a memory card with a higher storage capacity. Erm, what else do you need to know?

Kursong Rizal and Public Relations, my subjects this summer, isn't all that bad. Studying Rizal actually is fun. The same can be said of Public Relations. We were assigned to create tip sheets as a substitute for our midterm exam and we could do anything we want on a letter-size paper to promote, say, Broadcast Journalism. The good thing is that due to the countless amount of time I spent ogling at the computer screen while Viva is layouting La Salleño Special, I learned Photoshop and applied it to the tip sheet. Isn't that great? Hahaha.... And I would've thought that I was a self-taught Photoshop novice.

Speaking of La Salleño Special I haven't finished it yet. We're like 90 percent done but because three articles are yet to be submitted we are stuck at the lack of some other people's negligence (my, I sound harsh). Oh well, they better pass soon or I will rip their pages off of my precious La Salleño. Hopefully, the students and faculty will appreciate the magazine. I wonder what I would do if I see some jerk using my magazine as a placemat. Gits. They don't even know how hard it is to come up with an 80 page magzine. Poor harajuku boy. Haha

Have you heard of "Sleeps With Butterflies" by Tori Amos? I love that song. Tori Amos never fails to impress me. So, as soon as I saw her new album, The Beekeeper, I immediately bought a copy and it was a good buy. The Killers' album Hot Fuss is already in stores so that's my new target.

I'm also glad that my favorite tennis player, Juan Carlos Ferrero, is slowly regaining his form. He reached the Monte Carlo Masters Series semifinals, losing to Guillermo Coria. Because of that, Ferrero propelled himself to No. 21 in the ATP Champions Race and No. 58 in the Entry Rankings. It's a slow and arduouus climb back atop the rankings but he'll be back that's for sure.

Sweet Misery

Have you ever had the idea of wanting to be born again? It's just that things are complicated now. In fact, I am lost, stuck in a moment. There's always a feeling of hatred in me that I can't seem to get rid of. Maybe because I enjoy it or I live for it. I've been paranoid, really. You see, we have to finish the sruvey questionnaire and conduct it this week because our respondents are graduating. After researching in the DLSU-Manila Library, Maycee and I boarded a bus to Silang. She got off at SM Bacoor, hoping that Million Dollar Baby is showing. Sir Valerio required us again to watch this film.

Yesterday we were at Parañaque for a little get-together because Tita Alice is going to Canada. Nothing much really happened there. Just talking and stuff. Oh before I forget, we are experiencing a series of unfortunate events. We could only hope that we'd get out alive.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for Viva. It's Monday morning and layout week. We have to finish the La Salleño Special in three weeks. But of course all I can think about is our thesis.

Lasallian Press Conference....

There's something about seminars and conferences that I really like: you get to meet a lot of people. That was evident yesterday when we attended the Lasallian Press Conference in De La Salle University - Manila. Together with Heidi, JunJun, Tiffany, Michael, Allan, Purple, Tom, and Kate, we strutted our stuff in Manila (no, it's not what you think)
It was fun, I guess. Haha I got to meet new faces from DLSU-Manila, CSB, and HSC. They toured us around their campus and I had this fleeting feeling that everyone was staring at us.

Kuya Jay Olle was also there as a speaker. But honestly what we enjoyed the most was the food!! The food was scrumptious. Amazingly, it was also some sort of mini-reunion. Kate and Junjun saw their old friends and I also saw Natalie. Unfortunately, I didn't see Louieji. Haha Kate would've loved to see him. Anyway, I'm here at home trying to do my Technical Writing assignment so I probabaly won't attend my Cinematography class.

Eternal World

I've been busy again but unlike before I didn't quite feel the stress. Probably because most of our activities are enjoyable. La Salleño 3 was released and I'm quite pleased with the result. Actually, it was amazing that people reacted in positive way. I'm currently working on the La Salleño Special, which is gonna be like the ultimate obra maestra. Viva and I have this fantastic idea of using illustration photography, you know the high art/fashion photography or something like that. Hahaha I'm gonna portray a Harajuku boy. Can't wait.
Also, I never realized how tiring it is to constantly watch movies. I mean, Cinematography class is my favorite but we keep on watching a movie every week!! I absolutely adored "A Very Long Engagement" while I abhor "The Phantom of the Opera." Compared to Moulin Rouge, Phantom is third class.
Yesterday, I did my segment for our news production. I was assigned to interview college bands in DLSU-Dasmariñas. We (together with my camerawoman Apple, and a barangay of HF people, Jheck, and Jake) attended this Buntisan event. No, it's not what you think. It's like a bohemian party/event with art exhibits, musical performances from indie bands, and poetry reading. It was fun. I interviewed Canopy High (reggae), Lakbay Lahi (organic sound art), and Skies of Ember (avantgarde). And I immediately became an instant fan of Skies of Ember. They look gothic and their prescence is intimidating at first but then you fall into a state of affinity for the band. Way cool. Arrggghhh. I love their music!! Ambient and avantgarde but with a tinge of sadness.
That's it for now. I've things to do.

Hale We Come

This week has been practically work, work, and more work. Together with Kate, I covered the PRISAA Lawn Tennis event at the Orchard Golf and Country Club. I thought it was gonna be hard but in fact it was really fun. We got to meet a few people like tennis players from Laguna and Quezon. Gene, RG, Aubrey, Armin, Michael, and Jerome. They were all nice. And here's the deal: they're good tennis players, but I feel that I could play with them. I'm not bragging or saying that I can beat them but I've been playing tennis for seven years, anf I can say that I've improved a lot. Watching those tennis players made me realize how much I love the game. Also, what struck me the most was how they play the game. Yes they were so consistent but at times too conservative.
Anyway, this morning I didn't know we were playing tennis so I rushed and changed my clothes at top speed with morning glory blocking my sight. I started badly. My forehand was rusty and couldn't keep the ball in. I lost to Kuya Arthur 6-2, 6-4. However, Kuya Arthur and I teamed up for the doubles. We beat my dad and Kuya Randy 8-3, 8-5. We played another doubles match and eventually won it.
Right enough tennis. Let's move on to my other passion: music. Donnie and Mark were set to interview this up-and-coming band called Hale. I really had no idea who they were but I decided to psuh through with it. Hale sounds good enough for me. Well, their album's due out in June so we'll have to wait for awhile. According to vocalist Champ, Hale's music is defined as melodramatic. Hmmm I can't wait to grab a copy of their album.

In The Middle

The clock reads 2:40am. I'm almost at the end of an uneventful midterm examinations and it's the extreme opposite of what my life has been.
Sadly though I lost my phone.
Long story.
Don't ask.
Well, now that it's settled I'm actually looking forward to getting a new phone. Not in the near future though as I still don't have money. Sigh... I wonder what phone I'll buy.
Couldn't make up my mind. Nah.. any phone will do. Any MP3-player equipped phone with a VGA camera and FM tuner will do. :)
Good thing though that my mom and dad didn't get mad. They said it was ok. But I really do feel stupid. Haha oh the shame!!!
I guess that's all for now. My friend Eric James is still renovating this sleek blog. He's gonna turn it into a stylish blog. Oh Jun Jun is here beside me. Everything seems to happen fast. This past week seemed to pass by in a blur of pictures and scenery. Also, I've been searching myself.

I want to put my life into perspective now. I'm gonna be careful and cautious when getting involved in people. Realizing that my life is a ruined mess (nobody knows that), I did a bit of soul searching and till now haven't found what I really want yet.

I'm thinking of getting a place of my own after I graduate. Obviously, I need a job first. Can't wait to be independent and try out different things.

Why does it always rain on me?

Whenever things go wrong, I'm always the one to blame. Issues and controversies has been a part of my life, really. I'm doing all my best to recover from the horrifying experiences I've had and can't seem to wonder why I ended up with such a difficult life. I mean, c'mon, I've had enough deceptions and disappointments to last me a lifetime.

Anyway, no more drama please, I already saw Avril Lavigne's new video "My Happy Ending" and I thought it was a cool. I liked the new image she's trying to portray- feminine yet hard. The video, in general, seemed to slow the music down but it's effective anyway. I especially enjoyed the last part- after they finished playing- Avril looked at her ex and then looked down, slightly offput, thinking how awful the relationship had been. Funny, reminds me of someone...

"Nakakairita yung mga papansin... di bale I believe in karma, what goes around comes around... watch out, it just might haunt you today..."

I never thought that there would be a point in my life where I'd be so busy. It's been awhile since I last visited DLSU-Manila and everytime I go there I'm still awed by how beautiful they're campus is. Well, maybe not the outside cause it's the main road so it's a bit noisy. Anyway, when I arrived there I had to wait for a few minutes before Natalie (my friend studying there and part of the organizing group of Mediamorphosis) sent someone to pick me up.

Security was so tight compared to DLSU-Dasma! They had to check my name on the list prepared days ago before the scheduled meeting. What the?!? Anyway, like i said before, their campus was beautiful with marbled halls and huge columns with intricate patterns and designs. Honestly, you can see the difference of Dasma and Manila just by looking at the students. I saw lots of Chinese-looking or Japanese-looking students dressed up in their Sunday's best like it was just normal for them. They all look sophisticated but it doesn't matter. When I met Natalie in their office (it was way up in the 4th floor!) she introduced me to her friends and org mates as well. They were very, very nice and accomodating. Ok let me get to the meeting. There were representatives from FEU,Letran,PLM,Assumption, and UST. We talked about some stuff and Niel, the UST representative, was the president of Michelle's organization, so we were kinda connected. Not to mention CK, Natz' org mate, was a friend of Joanna, who's my classmate now. Friendster, anyone?

It was also Eyah,'s debut but I couldn't attend. Sorry

Alright, last night, we sort of celebrated Apple's brithday in Tagaytay. So it's Apple, her brother, Richard (her boyfriend), Katz (who was wearing a short skirt), Kay (wearing a spaghetti strapped top but equipped with a jacket), Upper, Jezire (we had to go back and pick her up cos they forgot about her), and me.

We had a blast even if it was freezing. We were like cuddling ourselves just to keep warm. Well, anyway, we had dinner at Viewsite. From squid to sisig to bulalo to fish, it was all worth it. Then we had coffee at Starbucks and chatted for awhile. After that they dropped me at Imus and got home at 1:30am. I enjoyed hanging out with them.

Spinning... that's what has been happening to my world. Spinning around all the confusion, frustrations, and disappointments. But I think I have to set things right here. Clear things up.

I don't know what triggered this sort of misunderstanding among my friends but I'm absolutely disgusted with what is happening and how they handled my break up with my ex. I thought it should have been between the two of us but I feel like it's a tropical storm gathering strength with people on the warpath.

It's all over now and we can't do anything about what happened, even if does seem unfair and shocking. What the hell can we do? That's her choice anyway and besides if she's happy with her decision then that's fine with me. I'm not going to deny that I was extremely hurt. I was watching MYX last time and I saw Alanis Morissette's video "You Oughta Know", and I kind of related to it.

"It was a slap in the face, how quickly I was replaced, and are you thinking of me when you fucked him"

Enough said. Hearts have been broken, friendships have been destroyed, stories have been said. Sigh, when will it stop. It's so complicated. I can't take it anymore.

I remember Chico and Delamar saying something like they would rather not enter a relationship than engage into a short-lived one. You know, giving all your love and care to that person and then taking it all back. That is so cruel and sad, I'd rather have none.

I'm already over you but for now we've got to live our lives on separate sides...

I'm currently in front of the HF computer with Earl looking over my post. Nothing serious, not to worry.

"My Happy Ending"

Avril Lavigne
So much for my happy ending
Oh oh, oh oh, oh oh...

Let's talk this over
It's not like we're dead
Was it something I did?
Was it something You said?
Don't leave me hanging
In a city so dead
Held up up so high
On such a breakable thread

You were all the things I thought I knew
And I thought we could be

[Chorus:]
You were everything, everything that I wanted
We were meant to be, supposed to be, but we lost it
And all the memories, so close to me, just fade away
All this time you were pretending
So much for my happy ending
Oh oh, oh oh, oh oh...

You've got your dumb friends
I know what they say
They tell you I'm difficult
But so are they
But they don't know me
Do they even know you?
All the things you hide from me
All the shit that you do

You were all the things I thought I knew
And I thought we could be

[Chorus]

It's nice to know you were there
Thanks for acting like you cared
And making me feel like I was the only one
It's nice to know we had it all
Thanks for watching as I fall
And letting me know we were done

[Chorus x2]

Oh oh, oh oh, oh oh...

Everything seems to be going well today. Earlier this morning, I played tennis and I can't remember the last time I played and so I was amazed that I'm still in form.

After doing some stretches and warming up, I started hitting the ball but it took me some good 30 minute to get the feel of my sttrokes back. Forehand was pretty okay while my backhand, my favorite shot, is still an exceptional shot for me. I teamed up with John Allan. He's a young, promising player who frequently joins tournaments. It's been awhile since I last saw him and he's grown a good four inches, I think. He hits the ball really well, very deep and hard but I think he lacks the energy and vigor to sustain him in long matches. That's one of his major problems, his fitness.

After getting to 3-2, John Allan had to withdraw because he really isn't feeling well. A bit disappointing since I'm looking forward to playing with him. He's a good player. He always beats me. The last time we played was like a straight-sets thrashing. The scoreline: 6-4, 6-2. But hey, he's almost a professional. So I guess it wasn't bad at all.

So, I teamed up with Tito Arthur, a good player in his own right. We lost the first set but, frankly, I enjoyed it. I could feel that my first serve is faster and both my forehand and backhands are in good, working condition. I'm very pleased with the way I played.

However, it was a different story in the second set. We defeated Tito Allan and my dad, rallying from a 7-2 deficit and winning in a tiebreaker 9-7. It was nice to win. I do hope that I'll continue to improve cos you know I've been playing for so long.

My mom and dad,and Nina went to SM Southmall to watch Shrek 2. I opted to stay at home. I've got a lot of things to do and my body's aching. Oh I just cleaned up my shelves and stuff and it looks so clean now. I had this plastic bag of papers and trash. I can't believe I had that much junk in my shelf.

I'm getting ready for the opening of classes on Monday. I've already got my bags washed, my shoes shined, and most important, I'm preparing my mind and body to the wear and tear of school...again.

Oh and my computer broke down after I got back from Banaue. Such an unfortunate tragedy. All my files are gone including my mp3s!!! Now, I have to find some of the songs again. I've ripped a couple hundred into my mp3 player but I've still got 2000 songs more to go. Hehe. No, I don't know, I'm just exaggerating.

I'm listening to "You're The Only One" by Maria Mena. I like her she's good. The song is catchy enough.

Sigh, I missed writing in my blog. It's been so long and I've been up in the mountains for almost 9 days, I think. We went to Baguio first and enjoyed our stay in a spooky condominium owned by Upper's grandma, if I'm not mistaken. I mean, it's a bit far from town considering that Baguio is a small place. The condo unit was ok since we were only five and the hallway was very creepy and dark.

A lot of things happened up in Baguio; some heartbreaking, some exciting, some frightening but all the same it was well worth the trip. George and I decided to go back to Manila first before meeting up with the rest of Heraldo Filipino staff. Mainly for security reasons, I mean, the bus wasn't air-conditioned and rumors say that it was very dangerous to travel in that part of the highlands. Oh well

After enduring 9 hours going back to Manila, we had to face another 9 hours going up to Banaue. I wasn't really up for it and thought about not joining. I'm all beat up. But George convinced me and I finally gave in since it was an all-expense paid trip.

When we finally got to Banaue, I was fascinated by how beautiful the scenery was. It was like mounds and mounds of rice terraces. It was like a huge green, pandan-flavored cake on top of a mountain, which is cool. Before I forget, the main purpose of going all the way to Banaue is simply for our year-end seminar/workshop but it turned out to be more of a four-day vacation to some as we were booked in not just any inn, but at the Banaue Hotel. Hmmm first class?? I dunno...

It was amazing working with the new editorial board and some of the staff. I have a feeling this is going to be a good year for us. I already have my plans for the Features Sectiona dn I do hope people will like it, but if they don't then,it's not my problem, you know. They just have to suck it up.

Alright enough of the vacation, I have finally watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Alone, mind you. It was fun watching a movie alone. Anyway, POA is probably the greatest movie, so far, for the Harry Potter franchise. It's darker, literally and conceptually. The environments are more defined and although some of the subplots were removed, the movie still has the spirit of a Harry Potter but novel but with more flavor. It's edgier, grittier, and it feels like a real movie instead of just a visual performance of the actors and special effects.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson has vastly improved their acting abilities, most especially Radcliffe. POA, the movie that is, projects an emotional journey for all who can relate. It's a movie about finding and discovering your true identity and revelations about yourself. Alfonso Cuaron did a magnificent job in molding this movie into a poignant teenager's journey . I wanna watch it again.

I guess that's all for now. A word of caution to all: "Revenge gets you even with your enemy; forgiveness puts you above him"

The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most
Dashboard Confessional

Buried deep as you can dig inside yourself
And covered with a perfect shell
Such a charming beautiful exterior.
Laced with brilliant smiles and shining eyes and perfect posture
But you're barely scraping by, but you're barely scraping by.

Well this is one time, this is one time
That you can't fake it hard enough to please everyone
Or anyone at all, or anyone at all.
And the grave that you refuse to leave
The refuge that you've built to flee
The places that you've come to fear the most
Is the place that you have come to fear the most.

Buried deep as you can dig inside yourself
And hidden in the public eye
Such a stellar monument to loneliness.
Laced with brilliant smiles and shining eyes and perfect makeup
But you're barely scraping by, but you're barely scraping by.

Well this is one time, this is one time
That you can't fake it hard enough to please everyone
Or anyone at all, or anyone at all.
And the grave that you refuse to leave
The refuge that you've built to flee
The places that you've come to fear the most
Is the place that you have come to fear the most.

That you can't fake it hard enough to please everyone
Or anyone at all, or anyone at all.
And the grave that you refuse to leave
The refuge that you've built to flee
The places that you've come to fear the most
Is the place that you have come to fear the most.
Is the place that you have come to fear the most.

I'm currently chomping down a hotdog for breakfast. It's May 23 and it's Ate Jo's wedding later at the Town and Country Clubhouse. I'm still thinking whether I'll go since I have a headache. Imagine lying down for so long. Well, I went to the dentist yesterday and had my teeth cleaned. It was oddly satisfying.

The rains have really come and it bothers me a little cos this week we're going to Baguio. Going to the highlnads in this kind of weather? I dunno, but my dad said that buses (we're commuting by the way) use the Marcos Highway instead of the usual, and more dangerous, Kennon Road, so rest assured it'll be one happy trip.

Then after a four-day trip in Baguio, we'd go straight to Banawe for the year-end seminar of Heraldo Filipino. You know, I have a feeling me and George are like contestants in the Amazing Race. We really have no idea how to go to Banawe. It'd be fun! Problem is, we would probably have massive bags by that time. Maybe I should bring smaller clothes or learn better packing.

Well, that's it for now. HEHE

Just finished Logic yesterday and I'm pretty confident that I'll pass that subject. (smile) I'm just waiting for the semester to end and I'll probably rest for a couple of weeks, get together with a few friends, maybe go on an outing then back to summer classes.

Ok I'll finish the newsette today cos tomorrow's the deadline and I still have to print it and have it colour photocopied.

Time now is 5:51am. It's a Monday morning and I'm still sleepy but I have to get up and write notes for Laws of Mass Media which is probably one of my least favorite subject, subject not professor. I absolutely admire Professor Santiago.

The sun's not up yet and it's a clear bluish-gray sky. The atmosphere is pretty humid and there's this some sort of protest going on in Manila concerning jeepney drivers but I don't know if it will affect us. Second year is almost over but before we can rest on our laurels we're bombarded with homeworks, projects, and performances. Shame!

We have this like project in Computer where we're supposed to create a website,shucks...Very strenuous...

But as far as relationships go, we're still going strong despite some miscalculated mistakes and misunderstandings...(sounds good, doesn't it? I ought to put on lyrics) Anyway,my baby takes care of me and makes me feel special...(sigh) love is a wonderful thing...

I almost forgot! I didn't get the chance to see Jason Mraz perform here simply because of the expenses that we're experiencing during that time...what a coincidence! I could have used that money to buy a ticket instead of giving it to some silly video feature for His Highness who seems cooped up in all our mistakes...Ha! I would love to see him get embarrassed...Also, I was knid of disappointed with my group. I thought we we're one of the most decent,in terms of attitude and discipline, but instead of using that advantage, it lead to our destruction. That's the problem if you have too much talent, you get confused on what to use and you can get overconfident, in this case that's me and my groupmates. I think one of them was and still is a sucker for His Highness just because they were praised for this and that...Bullshit! She is so out of her mind!!! My temper's rising now!

You see,I haven't been writing much in here and evidently I'm spilling out as much information and hate I kept inside.

About my pending status in Heraldo Filipino, sometimes, I think about quitting because some persons are extremely demanding and I think they're too obsessed but scared...Do you get my point? Well, I don't...I'm too lost! I'm in a pretty vindictive mood. I'm starting to hate people because of this and that. I also loath one person in class. He's a big show off and a monster as well. So he thinks he's all this and all that, big deal! I wanna see him go down. If my own worst enemies are assholes, then he's a superasshole.

God, I love this! This makes life more fun, writing about people and cutting their throats. Huh? Wake up! Am I really writing this? I dunno...That's how I really feel right now. Alright,I'll see you soon, when the time for some healing requires me to continue this.

Hey ya! Hmm...it's already 2004 and come to think of it time really flies very fast these days. Things have been pretty rough for me the past year but at the same time a rewarding one. Ironic isn't it? Well, i'm so glad that it's 2004 because my dad just got accepted at GMA (whew! finally) and he'll start this Monday, i think. I enjoyed 2003 as far as love and friendship are concerned. I met a whole lot of different personalities last year which is quite fascinating since I'm basically quiet all the time. What can I say? I'm out of ideas. Academics wasn't a bad one either. We had a lot if activities and it looks like 2004 has more in store for us JOU2-1. I dunno but it's kinda weird that I felt more closer to anyone now that things are starting to change. Weird?
Last year,I think, was also the year of lovers? hehe...no explanation needed. Lastly,I'm hoping for a better 2004! See ya!

After a long hiatus, I'm back! This week has been probably the most rewarding one for me. I don't know but I feel really good. If you're wondering what's going on these past few days, well we're gonna have our first major project in Broadcasting. you see, we'll do a radio drama and ours is a fantasy so it should be fun. And we still haven't reported for Literature because of time constraints. I've already passed two news articles but I haven't done my feature articles yet. It's been awhile since I blogged. Things have been pretty okay for me this week. We are now having our very much deserved semestral break since JOU 2-1 has been working tirelessly over projects, assignments, presentations, and exams. All we have to do now is wait for the classcard distribution and see if we're going to make it next semester. Lately, I've been out most of the time. Last Saturday, Michelle called me up and sai if I would like to go to Robinson's Imus. I said okay and it was some sort of get together. Michelle, Christian, Frauline, Derick, and April were there too. We just had a blast talking about anything under the sun. Next stop for me is my classmate Ara's debut this Saturday. Before I forget, I have an article and I already finished it, it's not that hard really. See you!

We just had our Broad Journ seminar and it was ok. We've just finished filling our stomachs with a sumptuous meal at Fiat. Anyway, the Internet service here is pretty fast, I like it. This is our first day back since our Midterm examinations and obviously, the results are supposed to be given. First stop is Speech and Oral Communication. Fortunately, I got 48 out of 55. Then came Communication Theory. For the first time in my stay in DLSU-D, I failed an exam. God, I only got 33 out of 60. Originally, I was 34 but due to my honesty (hehe), I approached Ms. Sigari and told her the correction, which I'm sure is worth a thousand points in heaven. It's another rainy day and I don't like rainy days on school days. By the way, I forgot to mention that Juan Carlos Ferrero's match was postponed due to heavy rain. He's now in the 4th round and I hope he wins. Well, that's about it, until next time.

It's the middle of the midterm examinations and i'm feeling ok at the moment. I had a good night's sleep last night, for the first time in weeks. The Art Appreciation exam was fairly easy because most of the questions were what I studied moments before. After that we ate at KFC. Only George ordered a different meal. Kate, the two Jessicas, Shiela, and I ordered the gogo sandwich, which is pretty tasty for something so cheap. The ReEd exam, on the other hand, was easy if you really dissected the hand outs, which I usually do not do. On my way home, I caught up with Edu, a former high school classmate. We talked about a few things and I left as soon as I had two passengerswith me. It's really nice to see someone from your past. I'll show them.

Hi, I'm here at HF even though I don't have a class. I am here at the Heraldo Filipino office and this is my first time to blog using an HF computer. Isn't it exciting? Hmm...anyway, nothing much really happened. An exhibition game took place at the Palaruang LaSalle between the Phillipine National Volleyball Team and the DLSU-D volleyball players. I can safely say that our players can match up against those giants. What else? I'm going to attend another debut. This time it's Katz' turn to be a princess. I still have toi dry clean my suit. Before I forget, The Poor Prince is a good and comical series. So, do watch it.

I hate this day. Our first class is Foreign Folkdance and we had a practical exam. After practicing for a few minutes, we did our routine and surprisingly I received top marks even though I made a lot of mistakes! Everyone was saying "Why me?" Well, I felt embarrassed and angry at the same time since it wasn't my fault that I got 99! They were like staring at me in disbelief. Lucky them that I kept my composure or else I don't know what could have happened. I'm like an unstoppable dragon when I get mad. Honestly, I didn't deserve that grade but what good can a complaint for having top marks do? An hour earlier we attended a mass and we're now here at ERS again. By the way, I'm really glad that my Decreto articles are over and done with because doing three articles about globalization, gay and women's situation, and indigenous people's situation is so hard considering that the articles have to be at least three pages and the deadline was just 48 hours. Anyway, it's Kristine's birthday, so happy birthday.

Today is a very bad day for me. The first part of the day was basically boring; completing our research paper in English and in Philosophy, we were reminded of a graded recitation tomorrow. It's about Theism and Atheism. After that, the Broadcast Journalism Program Council election was held in OSH and it was a dramatic encounter between JOU 1-1 and JOU 2-1. I mean each section was like solid rock but nevertheless five of JOU 1-1 did get positions: Tina for Internal Vice-President, Jessica for Secretary, Ayesha for Business Manager, William and Katz respectively. I forgot their positions. hehe... Anyway last Saturday while watching the making of Dirrty, my mom and dad suddenly stood up and did their own rendition of Christina Aguilera's Dirrty!!! Cool huh? Anyway, I really like "In the Club" by 50 Cent/Beyonce Knowles. I prefer the remix version, sounds more haunting. "Damaged" by TLC is a good song too, exploring the rock genre. "What I Go to School for" by Busted is also nice. Busted is one of my favorite artists, third only to Jason Mraz and John Mayer. But I'll buy their album, they're really cool and funky. "Addicted" by Simple Plan is a refreshing sound too. Man, I need to save more if I'm going to buy Busted and Simple Plan. They rock!

I love X Men 2!!! It's even more exciting and it showcases more of their powers. I especially liked Pyro, he's so cool. Unfortunately Pyro becomes a bad guy. He's the one who can manipulate fire. Another one I loved is Deathstrike. She has the same powers as Wolverine. Their fight scene is so amazing. They're like two tigers slashing each other but eventually Wolverine won. Other happenings included Jean Grey showing some signs of being Phoenix. Whenever she uses her powers, you can see the fire in her eyes. She died saving the other X Men, but she will return as Phoenix. I mean before she was swept away, her body burst into flames. New characters include Nightcrawler, Iceman, Pyro (my favorite) and some did only minor parts but I'm sure they'll have a major part in X Men 3 like Colossus and Shadowcat. All in all it's a good film. I can't wait for the next one.

Once again, we are here at ERS for our undying love of surfing. La Salleno came out and it looks good. you know what? sometimes, I just want it all to end, this life I mean. The air conditioner here at ERS is like an icy blast of Arctic wind! Well, today wasn't so bad. IWe went to the library to finish the Introduction of our research paper together with my partner, Krystel. Matter of fact, we talked about the musings of love and all its wonderful cheesy stuff. Both of us went into a fit of giggles. She told me her story and I told her my problem, so it's sort of a advice thing. And in Philosophy we had a group discussion but honestly we just talked about life in La Salle in general. Me, Maycee, Jeffrey, our new classmate, Aimee, and Jeramie. It was nice. God, "Out of reach" is playing I feel like reflecting. I really liked Fighter by Christina Aguilera. Its heavy rock beats pumps me up and makes me want to hit someone.

Surfing has been a major factor in Jou 1-1's life, I mean we surf everyday, how crazy is that? I can really feel the heat. It's scorching hot out here! Anyway, summer classes still goes on and it's alright I'm enjoying it. Nothing much happened this holy week, just stayed at home and sleep all day. By the way, Jason Mraz's album,Waiting for my rocket to come, is really good. Very quirky and invokes clean, pure fun. He sings like he's rapping. What else? My Tita Diane and Angel is staying here with us in Cavite for just a few days because of minor problems. You know I have this weird morning. I get up around 3am and listen to RX. I don't know, I just like RX. I hope you guys will listen to RX they're really cool. I especially like the Morning Rush with Chico and Delamar, they have this Hot 10 thing that features anything under the sun, like today their topic is The Hot 10 Nightmares, either real or hypothetical. It's really funny. And on Tuesdays and Thursdays, they have Brad Turvey as a co-host which is more merrier because they all diss out each other and they bombard Brad with deep Filipino words, leaving him bamboozled.

After a long break, I'm back. Today marks my fifth year here in Cavite! Seems like someone bewitched time to make it click away faster. Nothing much happened these week, except yesterday when we went, first to Patricia's house, a friend studying at Mapua. Really now, we didn't do anything except talk and talk. Then we decided to grab us some food then proceeded to Michelle's house again for the thousandth time - but I like it there anyway. We watched Ring zero. Nice movie, enchanting. Very tiring indeed but at least I gave it a go. Also, we had our pre-registration yesterday and our schedule next school year is very loose. We don't have classes on Mondays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we're pretty much loaded. On Wednesdays, we only have two subjects. And I think we also have two subjects on Friday. Beautiful day it is. I have to make them for she has some more pressing problems of her own. I'm really, really worried about the Final exam in Swimming today. I'm still sleepy. Last week, I was bombarded with a ton of activities. In HF, I still have 4 articles to do due this Saturday; last Friday was Ruby's debut. I met a few friends of hers at UST and after the party we had a drinking session. The first shot of J&B scotch whiskey already made me dizzy so I decided to stop drinking. Derick and Christian both dozed off because of too much alcohol. I went home around 4am and slept without changing my clothes. Few hours later, I was again full of allergy. Damn it! Anyway, yesterday, MOnday, we had our exposure trip at ABSCBN and we had loads of fun, seeing celebrities and the studio tour. There were afew stars but I don't really mind them. Now, we have to practice for our presentation tomorrow for the Media Awareness Days. I'm included in the Fashion trend something, so I have to look for something good to wear. Yawn...

Whoopie it's Ruby's birthday and we're celebrating tonight!!!! Midterm exams, project in Sociology, assignment in Intro, special exam in Statistics, debut on Friday, and exposure trip on Monday. AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHH! My head is spinning! I don't think any one of you can handle what I'm going through right now, I just want to blow up!! But it feels great too having to be soaked up in all these shenanigans. I mean it's better than nothing at all right? Tomorrow is the last day of our Midterm exams but we still have a lot of work to do. We still have to interview members of the AB Com Channel for our assignment in Intro and it's due on Monday, and we have an exposure trip. I hate this! But I have more important things to do like what to wear on Friday! Blazer? Polo? And I haven't bought Ruby, the debutant, a gift. Which reminds me, I haven't paid P100 forour presentation. For one most of the work is done but the problem is Midterm exams start next week. Anyway, last night we celebrated Derick's birthday at Michelle's flat. All we did was eat pizzas, muffins and cakes, talk about anything under the sun - or the moon in our case - and played a lot of mind games like "the sound of the game is the game of the first sound" and the tricky Black magic thingamajig. It was absolute frolic! Frauline and Pao, her boyfriend, arrived around 7pm so you could just imagine how we felt. On the way home, Pao said he saw a ghost pass by while we were walking a dark street. Who knows?

I am in a not so good mood today. So many things are going on inside my head I feel like I'm out of my mind. We're here at the ERS surfing and earlier I had a little argument. The reason: she provoked me! I warned her not to because I am like a rocket blaster when I'm angry or provoked. Anyway, for those who don't know me, please don't make me angry, you don't want me as your enemy. Mainly because I've got so much to do my temper's running high. I'll just try to calm myself down. It's been nearly six hours since I got home from Vigan. I still want to reminisce the beautiful memories I've shared woth the Heraldo Filipino staff/editors/adviser. We met up at 7-11 Imus at 5am although some were late. The group is composed of six different personalities: the outrageous adviser Mrs. Socorro Agbing, the jolly News/Sports editor Julie Ann Gatchalian, the eccentric Features editor Marthy Angue, the amicable Senior Staff/Art Staff Jake Ofrasio, the poetic Junior Staff/Literary Staff Joanna Paola Buenaventura, and the quiet but mischievous Junior Staff/Features Staff Eric Nicole Salta ( or simply me). So after all the hocus pocus, we decided to meet Kuya Jake and Ate July at Dunkin Donuts Baclaran Branch. It took us a few hours for Kuya Jake just got home from editing their short film.Nevertheless, we had to hand it in to Kuya Jake: he had the smallest luggage. After boarding up in a taxi, off we went to find the Partas bus terminal. Unfortunately, the taxi driver didn't know where it was so he dropped us in another bus station. We found the bus station a few minutes later and left Manila at 9:30am. It was a grueling trip with stopovers at Pampanga, Pangasinan, and La Union. We arrived there at 7:30pm and checked in at Fernandina Hotel, a local inn which has nice furnishings. The next morning we proceeded to the host school, University of Northern Philippines, in which we stirred up controversy by choosing to stay at the hotel. Nevertheless, it doesn't matter. The first day was a conference about social development where the speaker, from my observation, is confused by the sudden barrage of questions. Later that evening we didn't attend the cultural night ( who wants to?). The next day was about libel and how to deal with it. It was pretty amusing overall. We also had an educational tour riding the calesa. We also visited Luis Chavit Singson's estate. The final day was the awarding ceremonies where we won a total of 11 awards. Nice huh? After the wonderful experience, it made me think how lucky I am. So thank you for everything.

It's 2:32pm and I just woke up. Why? Simply because yesterday was my friend, Nina's debut at Max's restaurant in Dasmarinas. That was the first time I attended a debut and it was an enchanted affair. I mean it was a reunion of old firends. Everyone looked stunning. Let me see. Alex and Ira, the emcees, both wore dazzling white outfits, Anna Jane looked marvelous in lavender, the same goes too to April Joy with matching pearl jewelry,Christian looked like the elder statesman in gray, Derick, the escort, was clad in a traditional coat and tie, some of the guys simply wore polo shirts and most of the Franklin Girls looked absolutelt fabulous especially Sandy. She wore a slinky, spaghetti strapped mauve minidress. She looked ...well, like a goddess. She takes my breath away. Now, the food was great except that Edu, Elron, and Louelito took so much rice, me and Sandy had to share! After dinner, the program started and first stop , 18 roses. Actually, I didn't prepare a speech I just blurted out a few well-chosen words and then danced with her. The night went on without noticing time flying by and in the end it's over. Sadly though, it will be a month before we all meet again...at Ruby's debut!

Isn't it ironic when things you don't expect pops up? I mean earlier this week Ate July,Heraldo Filipino's news/sports editor told me that I'm one of the five going to Vigan next week. I was shocked and at the same time excited. We are going to Vigan for a conference/contest for four days, I think. Ooh I'm excited! Another good thing is I'm excused so I won't be attending class this week while my classmates are practicing for the mass demonstration. But the downside is I'm going to miss my first ever Lasallian days. However, it isn't everyday that I get to be chosen to go to Vigan. I'm completely relaxed now. On Saturday, I'm attending a debut and I haven't got anything to wear! I just wish some of my "old friends" would even care to invite me in school parties or the like. Nevertheless, some things will never change...but I do hope that they realize that understanding is the first step to acceptance and through acceptance shall there be recovery.

Monday mornings make me sick! I hate Mondays - waking up early and General Chemistry. Well, I'm here with George and Jessica at the ERS surfing the Net. We were just informed that Journalism 11 is part of the mass demonstration on January 21. Some say we are going to dance. yikes! I'm not a good dancer. Yesterday, instead of going to Carmona for our project in Filipino, we went bowling instead. Me, Christian, and Joanna. For a beginner like me, it wasn't bad losing to Christian by only four points and hitting a strike! Honestly, it's a fun activity and quite addictive too. But my wrist hurts now!!!

It's a Friday weekend! Funny though, I didn't seem to notice the week pass by. What happened today? In Elementary Statistics, we had a new lesson: Permutation and Combination. Quite easy, I suppose. In Filipino, Dr. Garcia informed us that we aren't gonna have a class for Wednesday and Friday but we did group ourselves for our project. I switched with William to join Joanna's group. In Biology, an entertaining film about evolution took place but not the part when Dr. Fonollera told us we need to submit a reaction paper. In Religious Education, the Lord of the Rings ticket test was won by Joanna. Good job! I almost forgot we are going to have an exposure trip at ABS CBN, either in Morning Girls of MTB as part of our training in Broadcast Journalism...My inspiring message of the day: Sabi nila may plano si God para sa lahat.. para sa iyo para sa akin.. kung ano mangyayari sa atin.. kung sino makakasama natin.. kaya kung ano man ang plano niya sa akin...sana kasama ka

Hi everyone! I've started a new blog and I hope you can drop by here. Anyway, I'm sick and tired of my old one so I decided to get rid of it. I don't have anything to say yet. Hmm... I like watching Ally McBeal. It really makes me cry especially scenes with heart wrenching music or two people comforting each other or accepting the realities of life. I think I can relate to that. My life has been nothing but worry, misery, regrets, and even remorse. I don't really show it. I'd rather keep it to myself - the reason why I'm very mysterious. If they only knew...I'd like to share this inspiring message:
In the stillness of the night you tend to hear your heart amidst the laughter, the muffled glee, the warm gestures, the utter frustrations, the stolen embrace, the brotherly cheer, the secret kiss, the last goodbyes. And soon realize what you've been looking for has always been there before you...
